It isn’t easy to quit

One of the things that saddens me the most right now is that so many people are reacting to the economic problem by turning to recreational drugs.  These drugs are not only illegal, but highly addictive!  It’s bad enough that so many people are addicted to the legal drugs like nicotine and alcohol!  It’s even worse when the drugs are illegal.  The illegal drugs have the potential to ruin lives in many more ways.  Not only can they kill you, but if you are caught with them you can land in jail.  Sadly I know a few people who are drug addicts.  I don’t believe them for one minute when they say that they can quit anytime that they want to.  They claim that they just don’t want to!

Fortunately there are a lot more residential drug rehab facilities opening up to service those who finally admit that they need help.  It used to be hard to find a drug treatment center to get help with quitting drugs, but now it seems that they are plentiful.  I think that it is just a sad commentary that there is an increased need for them!

Airlines really don’t care

This is a classic example of why I prefer to drive. Airlines just don’t care. It really doesn’t matter which airline you use – none of them care. If I have to fly, I will. But I won’t pack anything valuable that could break, or anything that is irreplaceable!
