John & Marsha – A Classic

My father loved his comedy. Back in the day of 45′s and albums. He had all of the classics, Bill Cosby, George Carlin along with an endless list of others that we sat back and enjoyed and laughed until our bellies ached. I barely remember bits and pieces of this John & Marsha classic. I found it on You Tube just a few minutes ago and had to post it here.

What a hoot to hear this 2 1/2 minute comedy routine that only required two words in the whole script. Close  your eyes and listen and hopefully laugh along with me.

Garth Brooks

A good friend of mine has the opportunity to get his hands on a handful of Garth Brooks tickets and has invited me to come along for the ride to Las Vegas come February 13. Sounds good to me, I haven’t been to any type of concert in quite some time and I’m certainly due at this point. Garth Brooks is known for putting on a good show and is very popular down this a way in the grand state of Texas.

This friend of mine is known for always coming up with the best Ceasars Palace Tickets and TD Banknorth Garden Tickets every now and then, so this came as a surprise since Garth Brooks will be performing at the Encore Theater this time around. But Vegas will do nicely in my book and I’m looking forward to getting away from the house and having a good time with a couple of friends for a long weekend.

Saturday, February the 13th is the day before Valentine’s day and since I’m not seeing anyone seriously at this point in time I have no need to stick around town and I’m sure there will be plenty of other things to keep us entertained for the rest of the weekend besides the concert. The food, the drinks, the gambling, all of the pretty women, it’s all good!

Rod Stewart & His Many Hits

I have always enjoyed Rod Stewart’s music. I’m glad that he is still performing and seems to be making a come back. The first song that I remember of his was Maggie May and I found it on YouTube.com along with a boat load of his other hits, I’d forgotten just how many hits he managed to pump out in his career, like the one I’ve posted here, Forever Young………..

Our Armed Services & The Cha Cha Slide

The Internet has become a very useful and valuable tool for our troops over seas. I have a buddy who is serving time over in Iraq who sends me an occasional email. This time he sent me a video that cracked me up enough to where I had to share it here with you. Our Marines doing the Cha Cha Slide!

He should be coming home some time this year. It will be good to have in back in our town all in one piece. We have lost too many young men all ready from our community due to this latest war.

A beautiful song and video

Last night I was looking through my CDs and found a Cat Stevens CD. I put it on and played it. I sure miss hearing his songs on the radio! He is a great talent.
